On March 23, 2026, the First Session of the 10th National Assembly of Laos was held in Vientiane, the capital. The session elected Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, as the President of Laos, marking a new journey for Laos' national construction and foreign cooperation.

On the occasion of the continuous deepening of China-Laos friendly relations, the Editor-in-Chief of BRICS Countries Magazine and "BRICS Interview" previously held a friendly meeting with Somphong Xayalath, Ambassador of Laos to China, and took a group photo.
