Having successfully completed all its agendas, the Fourth Session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC concluded at the Great Hall of the People on the morning of March 11. The session called on all participating units of the CPPCC and the vast number of CPPCC members to rally more closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, work together with one heart and forge ahead courageously, unswervingly follow the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and make new and greater contributions to comprehensively advancing the great cause of building a strong country and national rejuvenation through Chinese-style modernization.

The meeting was presided over by Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC. Vice Chairmen of the National Committee of the CPPCC Shi Taifeng, Hu Chunhua, Shen Yueyue, Wang Yong, Zhou Qiang, Pagbalha Geleg Namgyai, Ho Hau-wah, Leung Chun-ying, Bater, Su Hui, Shao Hong, Gao Yunlong, Mu Hong, Xian Hui, Wang Dongfeng, Jiang Xinzhi, Jiang Zuojun, He Baoxiang, Wang Guangqian, Qin Boyong, Zhu Yongxin and Yang Zhen were seated in the front row of the rostrum.

Xi Jinping, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, Han Zheng and others were seated on the rostrum.

The closing meeting began at 9 a.m. Wang Huning announced that 2,059 members were present at the Fourth Session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC, out of the 2,125 members who should attend, meeting the quorum.

The meeting adopted resolutions on the work report of the Standing Committee, the report on the work of proposals since the Third Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, the report on the examination of proposals submitted to the Fourth Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee by the Proposal Committee, and the political resolution of the Fourth Session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC.

In his speech, Wang Huning said that the Fourth Session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC was a conference that held high the banner, pooled strength, sought truth and forged ahead, and maintained a healthy atmosphere. It vividly demonstrated the sense of responsibility of the vast number of CPPCC members in performing their duties for the country and serving the people, and fully highlighted the unique advantages and vitality of socialist consultative democracy. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping and other Party and state leaders attended the opening and closing meetings of the session, visited CPPCC members, participated in group discussions, and discussed state affairs with them. All CPPCC members earnestly discussed the Report on the Work of the Government, the draft outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan and other reports, and carefully reviewed documents including the work report of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC and the report on the work of proposals, achieving fruitful results. All CPPCC members have fully recognized the extraordinary and remarkable development process of the past year and the 14th Five-Year Plan period, as well as the hard-won and precious development achievements, and are determined to make greater contributions to advancing Chinese-style modernization in the new era and new journey and continuously writing new chapters of the two miracles of rapid economic development and long-term social stability.

Wang Huning pointed out that 2026 marks the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and the Communist Party of China is leading hundreds of millions of people forward with full confidence on the new journey of Chinese-style modernization. The CPPCC must base itself on its own nature, orientation and responsibilities, uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, strengthen theoretical arming, better play the role of the CPPCC as a political organization, better play its role in offering advice and suggestions for governance, and better play its role in pooling hearts and minds, so as to extensively rally people, build consensus, gather wisdom and strength for a good start of the 15th Five-Year Plan. Serving and supporting the implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan shall be the main line of performing duties, running through all work of political consultation, democratic supervision and participation in the deliberation and administration of state affairs. Focusing on major issues in economic and social development, we will deepen forward-looking research and strategic thinking, and strive to perceive changes in the situation, identify key problems, and formulate practical policies. Adhering to the principle that the CPPCC serves the people, we will speak more for the people's interests, do more to benefit the people, ensure that the achievements of modernization benefit all the people, and extensively pool the strong positive energy of the Chinese people at home and abroad to strive for new achievements in the new era.

Wang Huning called on all to rally more closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, work together and strive for success, and make unremitting efforts to comprehensively advance the building of a great modern socialist country.

Also present at the closing meeting were leading comrades including Wang Yi, Yin Li, Liu Guozhong, Li Ganjie, Li Shulei, Li Hongzhong, He Lifeng, Chen Wenqing, Chen Jining, Chen Min'er, Yuan Jiajun, Huang Kunming, Liu Jinguo, Wang Xiaohong, Zhang Shengmin, Wang Dongming, Xiao Jie, Zheng Jianbang, Ding Zhongli, Cai Dafeng, He Wei, Wu Weihua, Tie Ning, Peng Qinghua, Zhang Qingwei, Losang Jamcan, Shohrat Zakir, Wu Zhenglong, Chen Yiqin, Zhang Jun, Ying Yong.

Leading officials of relevant departments of the CPC Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the State Council attended the closing meeting as non-voting participants. Foreign envoys to China and overseas Chinese were invited to attend.

The meeting concluded with the majestic sound of the National Anthem.
